Glasgow chef Nico Simeone is launching the first restaurant outside the UK under his signature Six by Nico brand.

The new premises in Dublin will be the ninth in the brand's portfolio. Located at 1 Molesworth Street, the restaurant is due to open next month.

Born in Glasgow to Italian parents, Mr Simeone opened his debut restaurant, 111 by Nico, in his home city in 2015. The first Six by Nico opened two years later in Glasgow, offering a revolving culniary hub with a new six-course tasting meal introduced every six weeks.

The Herald:

Each menu is focused on a different place, memory, or idea, drawing inspiration from places such as the street markets of the Middle East or a journey across US Route 66 in America.

"We are very proud to bring our unforgettable culinary experience to Dublin," Mr Simeone said.

"Customers have dined at our restaurants from Edinburgh to London to try each of our menus since our first Six by Nico opened in Glasgow in 2017. Dublin is a city known for its vibrant food and drink scene, and we are looking forward to welcoming customers very soon”.

Six by Nico currently has locations in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, Belfast, London Fitzrovia and London Canary Wharf. The new 3,000sq ft venue in Dublin, formerly Le Pain Quotidien, will house a 56-cover restaurant including a dedicated bar and outdoor dining tables.
