As a Partick Thistle supporter of some 70 years (albeit from the comfort of my armchair) may I thank the BBC for allowing the rest of the nation a glimpse of the magic of the Maryhill Magyars in their recent coverage of their Co-operative Insurance Cup defeat by Rangers.
If this is the team poised at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, then Thistle proved without a shadow of a doubt that this is where we rightfully belong, as it took all of 115 minutes for Rangers to scrape through.
