Horne & Corden BBC3, 10.30pm

Tonight sees the first episode of the new comedy sketch show hosted by Mathew Horne and James Corden, stars of the hit sitcom Gavin & Stacey. The pair host the show as themselves in front a studio audience while also playing a wide range of characters.

James is overexcited about the fact that he and Mat have their own show, which has disastrous results. Meanwhile, viewers are introduced to Xander, an old boarding school chum from hell, and Tim Goodall, the gayest news reporter ever.

My Strike BBC4, 9pm Drawing on a time when millions of days were lost to industrial action each year in Britain, this programme explores the experience of going on strike and the impact it has on individuals on both sides of a dispute.

Women machinists at the Ford plant in Dagenham incurred the wrath of husbands and families when they forced the temporary closure of their factory in the fight for pay parity in 1968. Ian Lowes, who led the gravediggers' strike in 1979, tells how they faced physical attack from furious members of the public unable to bury their dead.

And former newspaper boss and one-time reluctant striker Eddie Shah who saw striking as out-and-out war recounts some of the dirty tricks he claims print unions used when he confronted them.
