Jim Jefferies, the Kilmarnock manager, will turn to some of his fringe players for his side's final Clydesdale Bank Premier League game of the season now the Rugby Park club are safe from the threat of relegation.
Kilmarnock face Motherwell at Fir Park in the only SPL final-weekend fixture which does not have anything riding on it. The other five games will all have a say in the championship race, Europa League qualification or the relegation issue.
With Motherwell having secured seventh place and Kilmarnock all-but guaranteed eighth spot, Jefferies will look towards next season with his line-up.
He will rest Kevin Kyle and Alan Combe, who have both been playing with injuries recently with back-up goalkeeper Damien Rascle is set to deputise for Coombe, while midfielder Iain Flannigan will make his first start of the season.
Jefferies has high hopes for Flannigan and predicts he will make a major impression next season. He said: "Alan Combe and Kevin Kyle have niggling injuries. They've been patched up recently so they won't play. Damien will play in goal. The players that come in will be fresh and want to show what they can do. I think it could be a big year for some of them next season, like Iain Flannigan.
"I think next season could be a big one for him. He's deserving of a chance against Motherwell. He'll have a big part to play here in the years ahead."
