Scottish Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman is to help promote a campaign to raise awareness and boost early detection of breast cancer.
The 35-year-old broadcaster and mother-of-one will front Kiss Goodbye To Breast Cancer, an online video and viral campaign by beauty giant Avon UK ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Bowman's mother, Eleanor, 51, of Anstruther, Fife, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, but was told by doctors that it had been caught at a very early stage after a routine mammogram.
The new campaign will unite a number of breast cancer survivors, including Avon UK president Anna Segatti, in a short film to spread the message about early detection.
Avon said it was asking women to send a link via email to nine women in their lives to spread the "TLC" message - urging women to touch, look, and check their breasts for early warning signs of breast cancer.
Ms Segatti said: "Making this film was an extraordinary experience. It was a real privilege to be in the company of such brave and inspiring women.
"As a breast cancer survivor, this cause is particularly special to me and I'm proud that, as the company for women, Avon has now raised nearly £15million in the UK for the breast cancer cause."
Dr Alexis Willett, of the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity, said: "Being breast aware is as simple as knowing what your breasts look and feel like normally, being on the lookout for any unusual changes and getting them checked out by your doctor."
