Tell us about your Fringe show

Cry Me A Liver is a character comedy. I play a truckload full of demented New York characters on a bus ride to Atlantic City. I’m hoping it’s a show about the meaning of life or may be the lack thereof. Expect hashtags, scumbags, doo-rags and a banana phone.

Best thing about the Fringe?

It’s a whole month dedicated to idealistic, horny, broke fools.

Worst thing about the Fringe?

That somehow summer bypasses Scotland.

How many years have you been coming to the Fringe?

This will be my second.

Favourite Fringe venue?

The Gilded Balloon. It’s like a magical castle of mischief.

Best Fringe memory?

A big group of Canadians that I gave free tickets to and that came back to see my show 3 more times after that. I now love Canada.

Best heckle?

Someone let a really, incredibly loud one rip during one of my shows, I count that has a heckle since I had to stop the show and deal with that.

Craziest on stage experience?
A cheetah once charged onto the stage while I was in the middle of a show and recited Shakespeare!!! No, sorry that didn’t happen. I think it was the time I was doing a sketch show with 103 fever and my partner decided to dump a container of cooked prop spaghetti and a glass of water over my head and then squirt ketchup all over my face - unrehearsed, obviously. That was fun.

What’s on your rider?

Right now? Spilled coffee and some donut crumbs probably.

How do you wind down after a show?

I actually wind up after a show and then I pass out. Sometimes I cry.

What do you love about Scotland?

Scottish men, with Scottish accents, that say “Aye”.

What do you like about Edinburgh?

That the ‘ck’ in ‘Cockburn Street’ is silent. What a classy place!

What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve done?

Bought my dinner at Poundland.

What kind of jokes do a Scottish crowd seem to respond to?

Jokes about people from Cumbernauld.

Favourite joke?

If Jesus was a Jew, how come he has a Mexican first name?  Billy Connoly
