RAHIM - Eric Giffnock, Glasgow Eric Rahim, author and Emeritus Senior Lecturer in the Economics department at Strathclyde University, passed away peacefully at his home on 2nd May 2023. He had been cared for with compassion for by his family, NHS district nurses and the carers from East Renfrewshire Social Services during his short illness. He will be sadly missed by his family in London, Germany, America, and Pakistan as well as many of his close community of friends in Glasgow and at the Park Church in Giffnock. Funeral service to which all friends are respectfully invited to, will be at the Park Church, Giffnock, at 12.45pm on 22nd May followed by cremation at Linn Crematorium at 2pm, with reception at the Orchard Park Hotel, Giffnock, from 3.15pm. Family flowers only please, a retiring collection will be taken on behalf of Solas Educational Trust.
