McALPINE - John Peacefully with his family around him at Morningside Care Home on Wednesday 27th March 2024, in his 99th year, Reverend John McAlpine (retired HMI Inspector of Schools). Beloved husband of the late Margaret Edwina, much loved father to William, Alison, Carol and Pamela. Grandpa John to all of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral service will take place at Bonkle Church, Newmains, ML2 9QG on Thursday 18th April at 11am, followed by interment at Cambusnethan Cemetery. All family and friends are respectfully invited to come and celebrate his long and happy life. Please wear a splash of colour. Family flowers only.
