Alistair Mair

I am saddened to read of Alistair's passing so soon after that of my sister Anne [Lawson] . He was introduced to me on his arrival from London by Anne & Jim Lawson who had known Alistair & Anne at St Columba's, Pont Street. I became their doctor when they lived in Strathendrick Drive and supervised all four pregnancies. In addition, Alistair joined our Kirk Session in Newlands South Church, and together we ran the teenage Bible Class. He introduced me to hill walking through an outing with the class. During Anne's final illness, we were much involved with support but rejoiced when Alistair found renewed happiness with Mary.
