Villagers and pupils had a lucky escape yesterday when a Navy
helicopter crashed-landed 80 yards from a school. Debris from a broken
rotor blade hit a nearby house, but no-one was injured. The Sea King,
with 12 servicemen on board, had to make the forced landing on a playing
field at Pont Henry, near Llanelli, Dyfed, after the pilot reported a
problem.
