STRATHCLYDE Regional Council was told in Glasgow yesterday that its
20,000 Nalgo workers will strike today and tomorrow as part of their
two-day action ordered by Nalgo in its claim for national pay-bargaining
and a 12% nationwide pay rise. Strike action will affect poll tax
collection offices, nurseries, libraries, museums, sports centres,
swimming pools, council offices, and district courts.
