JIMMY Logan and his wife and family are living apart, the entertainer

disclosed last night.

At Perth, where he is rehearsing for the play Brighton Beach Memoirs

due to open in a fortnight, Logan said: ''We moved into our beautiful

new home in Helensburgh shortly before Christmas and Pamela left with

our twins Robert and Annabelle in mid January when I was still appearing

in pantomime at the King's Theatre, Glasgow. They are living at her

mother's house in Inverness.

''Frankly I don't know what is happening.''

He added that his only wish was that they could all get back together

in the family home and said: ''I phone the children twice a day, first

thing in the morning and before they go to bed, and I visit them in

Inverness as often as I can.

''I don't know what has gone wrong and so far as I'm concerned I have

to make my living in the theatre and that is why I'm in Perth. We have a

lovely home and wonderful neighbours in Helensburgh and the sooner we

all get back there the happier I will be.''

Mrs Logan could not be contacted last night.

Logan, 60, was married to Pamela just over four years ago. The twins

are aged three years and four months. he had been married twice before.

Both marriages were childless.
