TRADING standards officers in Edinburgh have launched a UK alert after the sale of potentially dangerous soft toys. The toys were sold at Birthdays, Paperchain and Cards Direct Shops and some 50,000 are now being recalled. They are about 10 inches long, come in the form of koalas, pandas, camels and various dogs, and sold for #2.99 before Christmas before being reduced to #1.49.
