Check out what takes your fancy on the web, from Alfa Romeo to Volvo. All the car companies have web sites, and, after extensive surfing, we liked these sites best:
l www.chryslerjeep.co.uk This site had a really good overview of all Jeep and Chrysler models, including interior shots and colour choices. There is an excellent search engine, allowing you to check out what every UK dealer has in stock. The site also has an interesting history of Chrysler section as well as good finance and insurance information.
l www.alfaromeo.co.uk There is plenty of technical and pricing information about the range on this site and the colour selector lets you view cars in every available shade. A useful tool on the Alfa site is the postcode search, allowing you to locate your nearest dealer. The pages here are also crammed with product news, an on-line magazine and a history of the Alfa Romeo.

Details of individual models aren't as thorough as they could be, but it does have a dealer directory and pages of news. And for those who are interested in the make's sporting achievements, there's a motorsport section.

This site had easy and quick access to new car information, with plenty of pictures, a colour chart and a list of UK dealers. There is a separate Type-R section to locate performance models and an area on the motorcycle range too.

One of the best new car sites on the web. There is an overview of the range which is easy to find your way around and includes useful colour and trim charts to help with your decision-making.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
