A MAN died yesterday after climbing on Sgurr nan Gillean on Skye. Police in Portree received a report just after 1pm that a man had been found with head injuries on the 3167ft peak. Skye Mountain Rescue Team and a helicopter took the man, believed to be from Central Scotland, to hospital in Broadford, where he was pronounced dead.
