Having firmly established herself as a promising talent in 2008, Pearl and the Puppets will be hoping to break through to a bigger stage in 2009. The Kirkintilloch singer-songwriter and her backing band have the talent to do so, with Pearl's superb voice standing out, especially on the likes of Mango Tree. Her quirky acoustic pop has won her admirers already, as she's worked with producer Stephen Street, soundtracked a Vodafone advert in Austraila, and enjoyed the backing of Elton John, whose management company she now shares. Expect her to play in bigger venues as the year progresses.
