Rangers sign Italian teenager
RANGERS have signed Napoli teenager Mariano Arini on a free transfer. The 17-year-old midfielder has impressed on trial at Ibrox, and was available for nothing after Napoli went bankrupt.
Winters can't believe Vogts
Robbie Winters last night hit out at Berti Vogts after being left out of the Scotland squad again.
Winters has scored 12 goals in 22 games in the Norwegian Premier League and another 11 in cup matches, but Vogts was unimpressed, claiming his strike-rate had been beefed up by playing against
amateur teams.
''I can hardly believe he said that,'' said Winters. ''If so, it is embarrassing. The fact the he does not know the Norwegian Premier League is professional makes me embarrassed. If he continues to believe I am playing against amateurs, I have only a small chance of playing for the national team.''
