Dundee could be poised to lose another of their first-team regulars with the news that Portsmouth have expressed an interest in the Dens Park goalkeeper, Julian Speroni, writes Mark Wilson.

The Premiership side are in need of a new keeper to keep Shaka Hislop on his toes and have placed Speroni at the top of their shortlist.

However, if they fail to agree terms with Dundee, Harry Redknapp's side will turn their attentions to Reading's James Ashdown.

Meanwhile, Rangers are still favourites to land Nacho Novo, despite having an initial offer rejected, while several English sides, including Leicester City, are monitoring the situation.

Dundee have said they want to wait until Jim Duffy returns from holiday before making any decisions on other potential transfers.

Dave Mackay completed his move to Oxford United, signing a two-year contract.
