DUBAI: An Egyptian man and a Saudi Arabian convicted of strangling a

woman with her own scarf were executed in Saudi Arabia yesterday.

Abdullah Bin Gharbi al-Hailam, a Saudi, and Mohammad Ahmad Kamel were

executed in Sakakah in the al-Jawf area. Gulf news agencies said the two

men drove their victim to a remote area where they beat her and

strangled her. The agencies did not say how they were executed but

murderers, rapists, and drug smugglers are beheaded in Saudi Arabia.
