A COMMUNITY mental health service for psychiatric day-care,
out-patient work, and community psychiatric nursing, at Ballenden House,
the Pleasance, Edinburgh, will help to reduce anxiety felt by patients
and be good for staff morale, Health Minister Lord Fraser of Carmyllie
said yesterday when he performed the official opening. There would
always need to be some mental health services in hospitals, but
Edinburgh Healthcare NHS Trust was right to have made this move
