LIMBS in the loch killer William Beggs is to be questioned by police over a 1987 murder.

The Herald understands officers from North Yorkshire have held discussions with Strathclyde Police about interviewing Beggs in Peterhead prison over the death of Barry Oldham, whose body was found on the North York Moors. Beggs was convicted of his murder in 1987, but his sentence was quashed two years later. He is currently serving life for the murder of Kilmarnock teenager Barry Wallace.
