TWO men are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court this morning charged with the death of a man who was found injured just yards from his home.

The pair, aged 19 and 20, were detained in custody in connection with the death of William McKeeney, 57, who was allegedly attacked in Melville Street in Pollokshields, Glasgow, on Sunday.

Strathclyde Police took the unusual step of thanking the local community for helping officers.

Mr McKeeney's partner Annemarie Newlands, who saw Mr McKeeney suffer his injuries from their ground-floor flat, has been left "completely traumatised".
