TeamGB hockey player Hannah Macleod said it was a "huge relief" that her stolen Olympic bronze medal has been recovered.

The medal was one of two, belonging to Miss Macleod, 28, and rower Alex Partridge, 31, which were taken along with their TeamGB jackets as they partied at a London nightclub in the early hours of Wednesday.

The medal had been posted anonymously to the England Hockey head office at Bisham Abbey.

The pair partied at the Mahiki nightclub in Mayfair following a reception hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday to celebrate the achievements of the 2012 athletes.

A 31-year-old man arrested in connection with the thefts has been bailed until November 23.
