A TRADE union branch with more than 4000 members has come out overwhelmingly in favour of the Yes campaign in the independence referendum.

The Scotland No.2 Branch of the Communication Workers Union, representing the Edinburgh postal workers who deliver MSPs their mail, voted at its annual meeting by a 90% majority to affiliate to Trade Unions for Independence.

Meanwhile, one of the UK's largest trade unions, the PCS, has already begun to think about representing a membership spread across a national divide should Scots opt for independence, with national vice-president John McInally addressing this at a recent speech in Glasgow.
