AIRLINE passengers were given a soundtrack to start off their holidays in style as they were treated to an orchestral performance of music from blockbuster movies.

Melodies from Star Wars, ET and The Wizard of Oz were playing in the main check-in hall at Glasgow Airport yesterday as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) performed at the unusual venue.

Joining the orchestra was Dorothy, from The Wizard of Oz, and joined by her dog Toto, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Lion.

The RSNO will be performing The Wizard of Oz along with a screening of the film at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on October 19.
