A COMPUTER scientist based at a Scottish university has been tipped as one of 35 young innovators driving the next generation of technological breakthroughs,
Dr Per Ola Kristensson, of St Andrews University, was on the prestigious list by MIT Technology Review. It publishes the top 35 every year and previous names include Mark Zuckerberg,the founder of Facebook, and Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who set up Google.
Dr Kristensson, 34, is developing new ways to input text on mobile devices and he has worked on the gesture keyboard, which allows users to slide a finger across a touchscreen keyboard to write words.
