She was attacked in Callendar Park View, Falkirk, in the early hours of this morning.

Officers are trying to trace a man in his 40s, with a heavy build and a bald or shaved head. He was wearing blue jeans and a light-coloured long-sleeved jumper.

They are carrying out extra patrols in the area and are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the attack.

Detective Inspector Hugh Louden said: "This is a very unusual occurrence and I would like to reassure local people that Police Scotland are conducting a thorough investigation and that additional officers are carrying out extra patrols in the area to keep people safe.

"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Callendar Park View in the early hours of this morning and who saw anything suspicious, or recognises the description of the man, to call us on 101 or pass the information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 as soon as possible."
