CAMPAIGNERS fighting plans to close an Edwardian swimming baths have summoned up the warrior spirit of China's Terracotta Army as they posed for a protest photoshoot.

More than 100 swimmers from around the UK took to an empty pool and posed in the style of the ancient sculptures to highlight the plight of Birmingham's historic Moseley Road Baths.

The project by photographer Attilio Fiumarella, saw swimmers join forces with city heritage enthusiasts.

The Italian-born photographer, who has been working to document the Grade II*-listed building, said: "Today's event was spectacular."
