THEY are marketed as a safer alternative to smoking and have taken the place of tobacco in many former cigarette addicts' lives.
But now the sale of electronic cigarettes could fall under stricter control after the Scottish Government announced it is considering banning their sale to under-18s after concerns were raised. There is currently no age limit for e-cigarettes.
