LABOUR

LABOUR

A spokesman for Scottish Labour said: "Nearly six out of 10 Scots want rid of the Tories. That's the choice in May. The truth is that the largest single party across the UK will form the government.

"Labour is the only party that can replace the Tories. Scots who want change, who want rid of the Tories, will be voting for Scottish Labour."

SNP

SNP depute leader Stewart Hosie MP said: "This poll only confirms just how badly the Westminster parties have failed in the aftermath of the referendum - with their disastrous commitment to continuing the austerity cuts which are causing hardship across the country, and the ramping up of europhobic rhetoric which threatens Scotland's place in the European Union. Last week, Labour MPs voted with the Tories for £30 billion more austerity cuts - a strong team of SNP MPs will use our leverage to demand an end to austerity.

"That almost half of people in Scotland believe we will be independent within a decade highlights the continuing support for Scotland being able to make its own decisions. It is also an indication of the extent to which the Westminster parties let down people in Scotland."

SCOTTISH LIBERAL DEMOCRATS

A Scottish Liberal Democrats spokeswoman said: "In government, we've proved our commitment to building a stronger economy by tackling the budget deficit, helping business create two million jobs, including 170,000 in Scotland. In government, we've proved our commitment to make Britain fairer by cutting income tax by £800 for 24 million low- and middle-earners and ensuring the biggest-ever rise in the state pensions.

"Over the next five years the Liberal Democrats in government will balance Britain's books while raising the income tax threshold, giving workers and pensioners a further £400 tax cut; increase spending on the NHS across the UK which will add to the money available for health in Scotland; and devolve more power from London to Scotland."

SCOTTISH GREENS

A spokesman for the Scottish Greens said: "The surge of political engagement we're seeing has propelled membership of Green parties across the UK towards 50,000 … People are switched on and looking for policies and personalities they can believe in.

"Our positive and bold Green Yes campaign during the referendum laid some great foundations. Our thriving Green branches around the country are building on that with big campaign ideas such as a £10 minimum wage by 2020 and public ownership of the railways."

Scottish Conservatives

A spokesman for the Scottish Conservatives said: "The people of Scotland gave a decisive verdict on September 18 and, regardless of any polling, should not have to endure another referendum campaign for at least a generation."
