POLICE are appealing for information following concerns for a woman in Glenrothes.

It follows a report of an altercation between a man and a woman at the entrance to Glenrothes Golf Club shortly before 6pm on Monday.

They both left a short time later in a silver car and were last seen driving north before turning right onto South Parks Road towards Glenwood shopping Centre.

DI Stuart Morris of Glenrothes CID said: “We’re conducting various inquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident to make sure that all parties are safe.

“I would ask anyone who may have seen the vehicle, or who recognises the description of this or the occupants, to come forward. In particular, we are looking to speak to the driver of a dark-coloured Land Rover who was passing at this time.”

The man is described as being around 6ft tall and was wearing a jacket with a fur hood. The woman is described as 5ft 6 inches tall and had a black ponytail.

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
