Staff at a Shetland hospital hope a new BBC fly-on-the-wall series will help recruit more doctors and nurses to the islands.
Lewis star Kevin Whately narrates Island Medics which is about life at the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick.
Senior A&E and surgical doctor Kushik Lalla featured prominently in the opening episode which aired last Monday with senior charge nurse Aimee Sutherland also appearing.
Dr Lalla, from South Africa, said: “I was speaking to my cousin from Milton Keynes. She’s a doctor there, and said she was highly impressed and now she wants to come and visit. “I hope this will encourage others.”
