A 78-YEAR-OLD woman was injured on a bus in Paisley.

Police said the woman was thrown from her seat when a silver or grey Vauxhall Vectra estate pulled out in front of the bus suddenly on Friday, causing the driver to brake sharply and stop.

The woman was taken to the Royal Alexandra hospital where she is being treated for a head injury.

Police said the road was 'extremely busy' at the time of the incident, at 2.15pm on Renfrew Road, and they are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

They are also interested in viewing any dash cam footage anyone may have.
