A woman and four men have been charged following a 'large scale disturbance' in Glasgow's Merchant City.

Officers descended on Blackfriars Street around 5pm on Sunday, March 31, after the Celtic-Rangers match at Celtic Park.

A 47-year-old was hospitalised following the incident that saw Albion Street and surrounding areas closed off as part of a police investigation.

The man is still fighting for his life, almost two weeks on from the incident.

Two other men, aged 29 and 30, were also taken to the nearby Royal Infirmary Hospital with serious injuries but have since been released

Officers confirmed four men, aged 27, 25, 23 and 20 years, and a 24-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident.
