A 29-year-old woman has died after a crash in Angus on Saturday night.
The woman was in an Audi A4 on the B9134 Brechin to Forfar road at around 10.15pm when the vehicle left the road near to a junction with an unclassified road to Balglassie.
A 30-year-old man was treated for minor injuries following the incident.
Police Scotland has appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have further information to come forward.
A spokesman said: “A 29-year-old female sadly died as a result of the collision and a 30-year-old male was treated for minor injuries.
“The next of kin have been made aware. Crash investigators were in attendance and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
