In the build-up to the school holidays, we take a look at the common pitfalls around parking at Glasgow Airport and others across Scotland

The airport has a number of options ranging from long-stay parking to drop off.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off

If you need to wait longer than 10 minutes, the long-stay car-park is a better option as it can be used for free for 30 minutes.

The pick-up/drop-off car park does have a charge of £45 if you remain in the zone for over 30 minutes, so if a flight is delayed or if there is an issue, it is best to move on to another carpark.

Short stay parking

The short stay car park is best used if you are meeting someone who has just landed or waiting before a departure. Again, if less than 30 minutes the long stay is a better bet.
