A POPULAR Scottish hotel has promised to honour customer bookings after the collapse of travel firms Super Break and LateRooms.com.

Seamill Hydro in Ayrshire said any customers who made a booking through LateRooms.com need to take no action.

The hotel, in Ardrossan Road, said in a Facebook statement: "We are saddened to learn in the news this morning that Laterooms.com, an online travel agent used to book hotel rooms has been placed into administration and ceased trading.

"Seamill Hydro will continue to honour all reservations made through LateRooms, if you have such a booking you do not need to take any action."

The statement continues: "We wish the staff of LateRooms and Super Breaks, the very best for their future, it is very sad to see a British travel company close in this manner."

It comes after the travel firms owners Malvern Group announced that it has ceased trading and warned that Super Break customers currently on holiday may be asked to pay again for their hotel, while future bookings are cancelled.

Malvern Group expects reservations with LateRooms.com to be secure as the website acted as an agent on behalf of accommodation providers and did not take any payments.
