The Luxe Skin Clinic in Glasgow was founded in 2012 and is led by Dr Usman Qureshi – known as Dr Q - whose aim is to ensure the highest clinical standards and that every client is treated as an individual.

The staff at Luxe Skin understand that the procedures that clients undertake aren’t entered into lightly and even though some of them are relatively small in scale, they can have a huge positive impact on their lives.

For that reason, even before an injection is administered, Doctor Q and his team of highly-trained professionals take time to understand the reasons and expectations that every patient has so whichever treatment is chosen, it is specifically tailored to each patient.

The range of treatments that can be carried out with little or no ‘downtime’ includes Botox, dermal fillers, thread lift (aka The One-Stitch Facelift), chemical peels, skin tightening and fat reduction, with all details available on the website www.dermalfillersglasgow.co.uk

When it comes to your face, Luxe Skin always urges clients to take the time to investigate their options, ask the questions they want answered and most important of all find the best person for the job.

The treatment starts only when they are completely happy with the decision they have made.

“Sadia, 43, was concerned about her lower face” said Dr Q, describing the experience of a recent client.

“She felt it was sagging and had jowls which were making her look tired and old and she did not want any surgery. She had never had dermal fillers before and was anxious. She also did not like her double chin.”

He explored the options of dermal fillers and thread lift with her. Thread lift involves placing 4-6 threads on each side of the face to lift the jowls. Dermal fillers involve adding a hyaluronic acid gel to areas of fat loss to "pull" the skin back and contour the jaw line.

“I recommended 4ml of filler but as it was Sadia's first time she opted for 2ml and would get another 2ml later if she wanted further improvement,” said Dr Q “Juvederm Volux is the filler used.

"It is the most expensive filler because it integrates well with the skin and looks natural in facial expressions. It is also the longest lasting filler lasting up to 18-24 months. The procedure took 30 minutes.

"A small needle puncture was made around the jawline and a cannula was used to add filler in the chin, jaw angle and jaw margin. This moves the chin slightly forward and the jaw back stretching the jaw margin.

"Anaesthetic cream is used at the needle puncture site and the filler has an anaesthetic in itself to reduce discomfort. Sadia felt the treatment was slightly uncomfortable but not painful.

"Although some result is apparent immediately, it does take 2-4 weeks for the filler to fully integrate with the skin and produce the final result.

Sadia is thrilled with the result and now feels more confident in herself. The treatment cost was £750.”
