Poll: Do you think daily coronavirus briefings be broadcast live everyday on BBC Scotland?
A decision by BBC Scotland to cease daily live broadcasts of the Scottish Government's coronavirus briefings has been met with mixed opinions online.
Almost 10,000 people have so far signed a petition calling for the decision to be reversed, with others taking to social media to back the plans.
It is understood that, from next week, editors will decide whether the briefings will be televised based on "editorial merit".

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
