Overnight resurfacing works will shut the M876 for three nights next week.

The westbound part of the motorway will be closed between Junction 8 at the M9 and Junction 8 on the M80 from 19:30 until 06:00 on the nights of August 11, 12 and 13.

A signed diversion route will be in place directing westbound traffic via the M9 Junction 9 to the M80 southbound.

This diversion will add approximately six minutes and 5.3 miles to affected journeys.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

The Herald:

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These surfacing improvements will improve the road quality and safety for motorists on this section of the M876.

“Road closures are essential for safety, however we’ve planned the works to take place overnight to minimise any disruption. We thank motorists in advance for their patience.”
