Tonight, former first minister Henry McLeish will appear in a special episode of The Herald's flagship political podcast.
McLeish will make his debut on The Brian Taylor Podcast at 6pm, promising to bring new ideas on the union and the debate on Scotland's future.
Hosted by former BBC Scotland political editor and Herald columnist Brian Taylor, the podcast will also see Michael Russell, political director at the SNP's independence unit, and Donald Cameron, Scottish Conservative MSP and shadow cabinet secretary for constitution, external affairs and culture make up the panel.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
