A MAN has been arrested in connection with the murder of an Ayrshire father.
Police have revealed that a 38-year-old man has been arrested following a murder enquiry into the death of 23-year-old Mr McKay who was attacked in Dalry on Sunday night.
Earlier today, police announced that a murder inquiry had been launched after the young father was fatally stabbed on his way home from work whilst walking along St Margaret's Avenue.
Officers have now asked those with any further information to come forward.
A spokesman said: "Officers are keen to speak to anyone who has not yet come forward.
"Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference number 3404 of Sunday, October 10, 2021 or call Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111"
