A LORRY driver has died after his vehicle plunged from a flyover onto the carriageway below.
Police say the 55-year-old tragically died at the scene after the lorry collided off the slipway of the A912 near the Broxton roundabout at Perth shortly after 7am.
Part of the M90 was closed as a result and remains closed more than five hours later.
A Police Scotland statement reads: "A man has died following a collision on the M90 near Perth.
"The incident happened at around 7.20 this morning. The 55-year-old man was driving a lorry southbound when it collided off the slipway.
"He was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed."

Pictures from the scene circulating on social media sparked rumours that a large number of sheep were being transported in the lorry.
Police Scotland dismissed the claims, adding: "The lorry was transporting bags of potatoes.
"A road closure remains in place and enquiries are currently ongoing.
"Officers are asking for any witnesses with any information or dash cam footage to please contact police via 101 quoting 0396 of November 4. "

Local Facebook group 'Fife Jammer Locations', who regularly update on traffic incidents, first raised suggestions of the "serious" incident online.
Shortly before 8am they wrote: "Edinburgh road leading into Perth A912.
"A lorry has gone through the flyover barrier and landed on the lower caragway. Must have just happened. road will most likely be closed looks serious."
