"In recent months, if not years, 𝕏 has become a space that increasingly tolerates the spread of negativity and misinformation; we also have concerns around 𝕏's terms of service with regards to users' intellectual property and how 𝕏 uses it.

"As such, we have decided to stop using our 𝕏 accounts @edfringe, @fringecentral and @edfringesociety.

"This will impact some activities we have previously run via 𝕏, e.g #TweetTheMedia. We're looking into how these activities can work on other platforms and will update our advice to artists in due course.

"You can continue to follow news about the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the work of the Fringe Society on edfringe.com or on other social media platforms: Bluseky, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, TikTok and YouTube."
