After last weekend’s heatwave, it is back to more recognisable weather in Scotland this weekend with a Met Office yellow warning issued for rain.
Up to 75mm of rain could fall in a matter of hours over the weekend with the warning in place from 4pm on Saturday until midday on Sunday.
It means there is a risk of floods, particularly in the east and north east of the country.
The weather warning does cover parts of the west of the country but it is mostly focused on the south east, east and north east.

The Met Office warning says: “Areas of heavy rain with isolated thunderstorms are expected to arrive from the south during Saturday afternoon, becoming persistent in places and leading to some large totals building up, particularly on southeast facing areas of high ground.
“Many places are likely to see 20-30 mm, but some locations could see 50-75 mm in just a few hours.
“There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses
“There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
“Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are likely in flooded areas, along with difficult driving conditions more generally.”
