A motorway in South Lanarkshire will be shut for three weeks in February to allow essential safety upgrades to take place.
Engineering firm Amey will replace a series of barriers on the M74 Candermill Road overbridge near Larkhall between 2 and 22 February.
A 24-hour continuous road closure will go into effect, which could lead to traffic delays in the area.
Southbound traffic will be diverted via Marlage Road, Netherburn Road, Ashgillhead Road, Ayr Road, Carlisle Road and Candermill Road, while northbound traffic will take that diversion route in reverse.
Only emergency service vehicles will be able to access the road during the closure period.

An Amey spokesperson said: “All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
“This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety of the carriageway structure in this location.
“Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.”
