A “popular” Scottish business has collapsed into liquidation with all jobs lost.
The collapse of the “well-regarded” company comes as its sector “continues to face significant challenges”.
George Lafferty of Begbies Traynor has been appointed provisional liquidator of The View Café, Aviemore, “a popular café with both locals and visitors”, as part of a Scottish court liquidation process.
The liquidator said it is working to “ensure all staff who have been made redundant are able to recover sums due to them as quickly as possible”.
The company entered provisional liquidation on Tuesday and has now ceased trading “resulting in all 12 members of staff being made redundant”.

Thomas McKay, managing partner at Begbies Traynor in Scotland, said: “We are currently working with the Redundancy Payments Service to ensure all staff who have been made redundant are able to recover sums due to them as quickly as possible in respect of their contractual entitlements.
“It is unfortunate to see a well-regarded local business like The View Café in Aviemore close with the loss of jobs, especially at this time of year.
“The hospitality sector across the Highlands, Scotland and the wider UK continues to face significant challenges, including rising costs, staffing pressures and changing consumer spending.”
Companies House listed the “appointment of provisional liquidator in a winding-up by the court”, on December 18, adding: “This document is being processed and will be available in 10 days.”
It follows a December 11 “extraordinary resolution to wind up”, also posted at Companies House.
There was also a change of address from its previously registered to “care of” Begbies Traynor in Glasgow.
The company is listed as being incorporated in 2024.
The company's Facebook page says: "New cafe in the heart of Aviemore, with breathtaking views, local featured coffee roasters, cooked breakfasts and lunches and homemade cakes and bakes."
