Appeal after man 'knocked onto the tracks' at Glasgow train station

British Transport Police is appealing for the victim and witnesses of an alleged assault at a railway station in Glasgow to come forward. 

At around 10.30pm on Monday, December 15, a man was allegedly punched in the head repeatedly and knocked onto the tracks at Partick station.

Police said he was then helped up onto the platform by members of the public before boarding the 11.05pm train towards Dalmuir, where he then left the train.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested by officers at Partick railway station.

He has since been charged with assault, two counts of assaulting a police officer, possession of a bladed article, breach of bail, and culpable & reckless conduct. 

Officers are appealing for the man who was allegedly assaulted to come forward, along with any members of the public who assisted him or who may have witnessed the alleged assault, in order to assist their investigation.
