A number of trunk roads in Aberdeenshire have been restricted due to flooding following a week of heavy snow.
Around 1.30 on Sunday afternoon, Traffic Scotland said that several key stretches of road had been restricted “due to flooding”.
The traffic monitoring body said that the A90 has been restricted at Toll of Birness near Ellon, in both directions, as has the A92 northbound at Portlethen near Aberdeen.
“Please take care on approach if driving in any of these areas this afternoon,” Traffic Scotland noted.
Meanwhile, the A950 Peterhead to Mintlaw in Aberdeenshire has been closed.
The region was hit by six days of winter weather last week, which saw trains halted, roads closed, and some rural communities buried under feet of snow.
Posting to popular regional Facebook page FUBAR news, one Aberdeenshire resident said: “I just drove past the flooding [in Portlethen]. There is a car driven off the road, as well as the flooding. Police and Fire at scene.
Another resident said: “The Toll of Birness road is open and passable with care. The flood is between Toll and Ellon just past layby on the left heading towards Ellon. Would help if people gave way to each other.”
Around 3.20 pm. Traffic Scotland said that the A92 was "now being closed southbound at Portlethen due to flooding.
"The northbound carriageway also remains shut."

Yesterday, environment agency Sepa warned of flooding as snow began to thaw across the north.
Pascal Lardet, Sepa flood duty manager said: "With rainfall forecast to spread north and as temperatures rise following recent cold conditions, rain and thaw of lying snow will increase the risk of flooding.
"Possible impacts could include flooding of low lying land, roads and individual properties."
