A 59-year-old man has died in a fire at a block of flats in Fife.
Fire crews were called to the blaze in a ground-floor flat on Somerville Square, Burntisland, at 5.36am on Wednesday.
Three appliances were mobilised and police and ambulance services were also in attendance.
Police Scotland confirmed a 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

They said enquiries into the incident are ongoing, but that it is not believed to be suspicious.
Fire crews remained at the scene until about 8am.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 59-year-old man was removed from the property and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Inquiries are ongoing, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire.”
